Esophageal Complex Reconstruction for Corrosive Esophagitis Complicated with Gastric Outlet Obstruction: 2 cases

Abstract
The esophagus can usually be reconstructed with stomach, colon or with jejunum. Especially the colon is widely substituted for benign esophageal stricture because of its surgical feasibility. A unique problem, however, is often encountered in
patient
with corrosive esophagitis complicated with pastric outlet obstruction.
We have experience two cases of esophageal complex reconstructive surgery for patients with gastric outlet obstruction secondary to esophage-gastric corrosion. One cases, 27-year-old female, was sufferred from dysphagia due to multiple esophageal
strictures and marked shrinkage of stomach. After initial tube jejunostomy for nutritional support, substernal Rouxen-Y esophago-colo jejunostomy was performed for the sake of total esophago-gastric bypass. The other, 27-year-old female, also
sufferred
from dysphagia and vomiting due to diffuse esophageal stricture and gastric antral contraction. Substernal esophago-colo-gastrostomy with gastrojejunostomy was done. Tube jejuncstomy was transiently added for nutritional support. Both were
relatively
good post-operatively except for mild dysphagia.
